finally got some news of him. just got out of mental hospital, he said he is not very good. the mail was 2 hours ago.
remember when i first saw him, a tall, skinny boy, with a straight grecian nose. he read philosophy books, listened to the doors, painted pictures, and indulged in a world of his own. sometimes i just got afraid that he might be gone someday, lost forever. or someday he might become a beggar, wandering in the street, or die somewhere in the mountains. among all those possibilities, i feared most he might be insane.
and finally, finally, what i had been fearing became the truth. remember he used to say, when it was cold in the winter, let's smoke a cigarette to burn yourself warm. remember he climbed in artificial rockeries, soft and limber in darkness. his pale face, curl hair, brown eyes, made him so unique. like an angel, should not be born to the earth. or, he doesn't belong here, really.
i used to call him simple cell.
